Consultations are available in-person across the Yorke Peninsula & Kangaroo Island, or via telehealth Australia-wide.

Do I need a referral?

No - you can book privately without a referral.

You will need a referral only if using:

  • Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan

  • DVA

  • Sonder

  • NDIS (plan managed)

What funding options do we accept?

We understand budget can be extremely tight so we offer a variety of funding options.

We support clients under:

  • Medicare

  • DVA

  • NDIS

  • Sonder

  • Private health

  • Home care package

  • Private paying clients

Each funding pathway has eligibility criteria so please speak directly with your GP, support coordinator or health fund

Do we offer telehealth?

Yes - we provide secure video or phone call consultations to clients world-wide, making support accessible for rural and remote communities.

What happens in my first appointment?

Your initial session includes:

  • Comprehensive medical, nutrition & lifestyle assessment

  • Discussion of goals & concerns

  • Personalised nutrition or diabetes education

  • A clear action plan with practical steps to follow

  • Educational resources and technology as indicated

Do we provide meal plans?

Yes - but only when appropriate for the individual.

We create personalised, practical, and flexible meal plans based on your medical needs, goals, food preferences, and lifestyle.

Because no two clients are the same, we only provide meal plans after a thorough assessment to ensure they are safe, sustainable, and tailored specifically to you.

How long are appointments?

  • Initial consultations: 45–60 minutes

  • Review consultations: 20–30 minutes

  • Extended review consultations 30-40 minutes

What should I bring?

  • Blood tests (if available)

  • Medications list

  • Glucose readings (diabetes referral)

  • Food diary (optional)

  • GP referral (if using Medicare or DVA)

Yes - as a Credentialled Diabetes Educator, Bonnie provides:

  • NDSS registration

  • Support accessing CGMs (Libre, Dexcom, etc.) & insulin pumps (Omnipod, etc)

  • Diabetes education under Medicare

  • Insulin training (where appropriate)

Do you run group sessions?

Yes — including:

  • Fat Farmers fitness groups

  • Energised Health Run Club

  • Community and corporate workshops & presentations

  • Staff training
